The Festival of Camellias is a special celebration of the peak camellia blooming season at Massee Lane Gardens. Massee Lane Gardens, the Historic Headquarters of the American Camellia Society, hosts a special workshop, guided tours, and a competitive camellia show. Thousands of camellias in all varieties, sizes and colors are at the peak of their blooming season. Also known as the "winter rose," camellias bloom from September through April, with the peak of the season arriving in January and February. Guests will enjoy an informational video on camellias and the gardens, and a self-guided tour of the gardens, porcelain galleries and greenhouse.

The gardens are open seven days a week for the entire month of February! The hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. A care and culture workshop will be held January 30, 2016, and Free Admission Day will be Saturday, February 6, 2016. Guided tours for 10+ by appointment.
