Buena Vista, “America’s Front Porch," contains an eclectic group of interesting shops, old-fashioned stores, and welcoming restaurants -- most of which are located in historic buildings around the courthouse square.
Marion County is also the home of St. EOM’s Pasaquan, the internationally acclaimed art complex that was created by the late eccentric artist and Marion County native, Eddie Owens Martin, who was also known as the Wizard of Buena Vista.
Buena Vista, Georgia, is alive today with artists, restaurants, antique shops, and historic bed and breakfast inns. A variety of art, crafts, food, and entertainment are all spotlighted on the First Saturday in November when the community stages simultaneous events -- The Rural America Festival on the Buena Vista Town Square and Artists for Pasaquan at Pasaquan. These combined celebrations draw hundreds of visitors to the town each year.
