Stressed? Need to enhance your creativity and focus? What you need is the Forest Therapy Retreat Weekend at Dahlonega Spa Resort in the beautiful North Georgia mountains led by Pat Homer, certified forest therapy guide and owner of Southeastern Nature & Forest Therapy Consulting. Forest Therapy, also known as shinrin-yoku or "forest-bathing," originated in Japan and has been adapted to western culture. Limitedly available in the U.S., this practice is rapidly increasing in popularity. Spending mindful time in the forest has been scientifically proven to lower stress hormones and to decrease blood pressure and anxiety while it bolsters our immune system. This retreat weekend is about relaxing, so no fancy clothes, heels, or ties are needed. Enjoy slow, relaxing nature walks designed to enhance a deep-sensory nature connection. Other activities include a bonfire w/storytelling or singalongs, nature journaling, and haiku workshop. All-inclusive price includes meals, lodging, and tuition.
