The Georgia Strawberry Festival celebrates its 15th year with a Mardi Gras theme. On Friday, April 26, 2013, the festival starts with a Gospel Fest and Dinner in the Park with barbeque and strawberry shortcake for sale, and gospel music by South Georgia Quartet.
Saturday festivities begin at 7:45 a.m. with opening ceremonies for the Berry Blast Girls Softball Tournament held at the ball field on S. Liberty Street. At 8:00 a.m., runners and walkers take off from Liberty Park on S. Collins Street for the Taylor County Race for Literacy 5K Run/Walk.
All other events will take place in beautiful downtown Reynolds, including a children's parade, Grand Parade, arts and crafts, entertainment, food, old book sale, strawberry cook-off, classic car show, and the grand finale: the famous lawn mower race. Join us for a day of family fun at no charge!
