Georgia's Official Sorghum Festival
1/2 mile west of Blairsville on Hwy 515W
Blairsville, GA 30512
You can search the world over for better mountain-grown sorghum syrup, but you won't find any to compare with the syrup of the Blairsville area of Union County. Folks from just about everywhere that want to taste fresh syrup just off the cooker flock to Blairsville the second and third weekends in October to celebrate the harvest and cooking of delicious sorghum.
In addition to the best syrup in the country, enjoy activities such as log sawing, biscuit eating, pole climbing and rock throwing. The festival includes a craft show where folks show their handywork and wares.
