With a history spanning over 30 years, the museum presents various exhibitions each year in eight different gallery spaces. Our exhibition program is designed to reflect diverse cultures, periods, aesthetic styles, and movements. The Albany Museum of Art houses an impressive permanent collection, which includes one of the largest collections of sub-Saharan African art in the Southeast.

Our AMAzing Space Gallery provides interactive learning through hands-on experiences for children of all ages.

Admission is free but donations are welcome to those that support the arts.

    The MillerCoors gallery is the permanent home for the Albany Museum of Art's extensive sub-Saharan African art collection. The collection is constantly reevaluated and rotated through the gallery in an attempt to reinterpret the history of the artforms of the African continent and the connections between the artists of different geographic regions and the larger art historical context.

    In this exhibition, there is a heavy presence of the Paris Art Nouveau movement. It was an international affair that represented the beginning of a new and youthful style, but was sadly short-lived. The Art Nouveau style stemmed from several influences. It was present in many European cities such as Brussels and Paris, and spanned across several areas of design, including architecture, furniture design, interior design and jewelry.
