Now owned by Historical Jonesboro and open seasonally for tours, the 1869 Clayton County Jail is the home of the Clayton County Historical Museum. The museum houses documents from the Old Jail and exhibits on "Gone With the Wind" and Native American history. The Clayton County History Center is open to guests on the Southern Belles and Whistles Tour and the Gone With The Wind Tour. The building features locally kilned bricks, jailer living quarters on lower floor and cells on the upper floor.
