The Hapeville Association of Tourism and Trade proudly presents Hapeville "Reel to Real" Arts, an Independent Film and Arts Event Series, featuring South Arts Films.

The 2015 Spring Series Screenings will continue on Friday evenings at the Historic Christ Church and Carriage House starting with a reception with the filmmaker at 6 p.m. and a film screening at 7 p.m., followed by a Q & A with the filmmaker.

Friday, February 13, 2015: Private Violence, produced and directed by Cynthia Hill and Kit Gruelle.

Private Violence is a feature-length documentary film and audience engagement campaign that explodes a simple, but deeply disturbing fact of American life: the most dangerous place for a woman in America is her own home. As a victim transforms to survivor, Private Violence begins to shape powerful new questions that hold the potential to change our society: "Why does he abuse?," "Why do we turn away?" and "How do we begin to build a future without domestic violence?"
