Cara Studios, Fine Art Studio at the Historic Carnegie Library
Meet Cara, an artist/poet who has a passion for studies in history, archaeology and mythology. Her paintings, poetry and performances require considerable research. The twist is that she literally lives and works in a library. You will find her painting among her books in a beautifully restored 1910 Carnegie Library in Barnesville, Ga. Vibrant paintings, poetry, artifacts and a sculpture garden, all with turn-of-the-century elegance, make for a fascinating story.
Cara's art work is as multi-layered as the excavations she participated in overseas. From miniature monotype prints to 12-foot painted triptychs, an archetypal veil of mystery and symbolism command her fascinating work. Cara often presents her paintings with her poetry, music and lights in short artistic performances at her studio. Her paintings and her unique studio have been featured in Southern Living, on PBS and HGTV. Cara gives historic tours and garden tours at Cara Studios by appointment.
