Put the South in your mouth! Join us on Oct. 20, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to sample some old-fashioned food and tour the Shields-Ethridge Heritage Farm.
Spend a fall day to see cooking the way it used to be. Admission is $10 for children and $15 for adults, and includes entry to the farm, bluegrass music and a plate of goodies. The menu includes chicken and dumplings, beans, collard and turnip greens, cornbread, sweet potatoes and a variety of fruit cobblers. Fried pies as well as products produced on the farm, including cornmeal and grits, will be for sale.
