Come join the staff of the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site for a special nighttime stroll around President Jimmy Carter's Boyhood Home. Located in Archery, just three miles west of Plains, visitors will be afforded a unique opportunity to experience Christmas in 1937 by walking the paths a young Jimmy would have once traversed. Follow the candle-lit path around the farm as you step back in time. Listen to interpreters as they present President Carter's memories and discuss how those experiences continue to shape him to the present day. Visitors will also be able to watch live demonstrations of blacksmithing, write letters to Santa, and discover the true meaning of Christmas. Guided tours of the farm will last approximately 45 minutes and will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. This event is limited to 20 people per group, per time slot. Time slots can be reserved by calling the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site at 229-824-4104. Admission is free.
