The Chattahoochee Nature Center is a private non-profit, 127-acre, award-winning, interpretive center dedicated to environmental education. Visitors particularly enjoy the new Gold level LEED-certified Discovery Center Museum and Nature Exchange with hands-on/minds-on exhibits that tell the Chattahoochee River's story.

Visitors are invited to bring a picnic, hike the woodland trails, meander through beautiful butterfly and native plant gardens or explore the river boardwalk while viewing native animals. A new documentary film "Re-Imagine the Chattahoochee" is shown daily in the theater, and educational programs focus on ecology and natural science.

The center is open daily, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. General admission is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors 65 and older, $7 for students 13-18, $6 for children 3-12, and free for children 2 and under. For more information, call 770-992-2055 x 238 or visit
