Chattahoochee Nature Center

The Chattahoochee Nature Center is a private non-profit, 127-acre, award-winning, interpretive center dedicated to environmental education. Visitors particularly enjoy the new Gold level LEED-certified Discovery Center Museum and Nature Exchange with hands-on/minds-on exhibits that tell the Chattahoochee River's story.
Visitors are invited to bring a picnic, hike the woodland trails, meander through beautiful butterfly and native plant gardens or explore the river boardwalk while viewing native animals. A new documentary film "Re-Imagine the Chattahoochee" is shown daily in the theater, and educational programs focus on ecology and natural science.
The center is open daily, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. General admission is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors 65 and older, $7 for students 13-18, $6 for children 3-12, and free for children 2 and under. River Canoe Adventures

The Chattahoochee River is calling! Take an urban adventure and experience wildlife through a two-and-a-half hour paddle down the 'Hooch'. Our experienced and knowledgeable river guides take you down river to see the sights and sounds of this river in the summer. Discover the plants and animals that call this area home and explore the river's backwaters as you re-imagine the river through a canoeing experience. This event is for ages 6 to adult. Registration begins April 15, 2015.
