Dr. McDaniel will present the fascinating story of his great-grandmother's Civil War experiences and the impact it had on his service as a solider in Vietnam. McDaniel's lecture is the third in a four-year series to mark the sesquicentennial of the Civil War and the Battle of Atlanta. Its purpose: to bring to Atlanta and the Lovett campus speakers and scholars discussing critical matters of character and integrity as demonstrated during this defining period in our nation�s history.
