Visit downtown Warrenton, Ga., on Dec. 12, 2013, for the 11th Annual Hometown Christmas from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Restaurants will serve delicious dinners by candlelight, and specialty shops will offer bargains to complete each and every shopping list.
At 5:00 p.m., the Warrenton Garden Club will present the annual Tree-Lighting Service in front of the historic courthouse. Afterward, Santa will arrive, and cauldrons will be set up along Main Street for roasting marshmallows.
Horse-drawn carriage rides and hay rides will carry visitors through the residential winter wonderland of illuminated streets to view the holiday-decorated homes. Traditional artisans will be showing off their handmade wares and demonstrating their crafts, while photo opportunities abound in the charming downtown area. There also will be a live nativity on the courthouse grounds.
