A hallmark of springtime activities in Habersham County since its inception in 1962, The Mountain Laurel Festival is the oldest festival of its type in North Georgia. The festival has been named a "Top 20 Events in the Southeast" by the Southeast Tourism Society for three consecutive years.
Held in Pitts Park and on the Square in Clarkesville, the Mountain Laurel Festival on May 18, 2013, offers activities for the whole family.
