Discover some of the facts and trivia of the Civil War in Savannah
on this 2-hour, medium-pace walking tour. You’ll hear from one of our
professional and very knowledgeable guides, why Sherman spared ‘the Hostess
City,’ and find out how some of its citizens helped shape both the beginning
and final outcome of the war. Learn the history behind some of the mansions
that were requisitioned as headquarters for the occupying Union army, as the
battles were being fought beyond the city limits. This tour will also include a
stop at Caraway Cafe for a beverage and a bathroom break. It is strongly
recommended that you wear comfortable shoes and bring your camera!
We're a pet-friendly tour company and well-behaved dogs are also welcome.
