Alpharetta has been honoring war veterans for more than 50 years. In tribute to the devoted, the city hosts a race, parade with floats, marching bands, military units, classic cars, clowns, music and candy. The Old Soldiers Day event includes kids activities and food for all.

There will be a 5K and 10K race for people of all ages. All race applications and fees must be in-hand before the race. Registration will resume on race day at 6 a.m. Pre-registered participants may pick up their race packet, t-shirt and race number a few days before the event at the Alpharetta Community Center. Be sure to catch the Old Soldiers Day Parade in downtown Alpharetta at 10:30 a.m.
