Clayton County International Park offers plenty of year-round family fun.The Beach at International Park (open seasonally) has a spring-fed, 6-acre lake, adventure kiddie pool, slides and sandy beaches. Beach volleyball fans can play where the 1996 Olympic athletes competed for gold.
The surrounding park includes a 17-court tennis center, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, fitness center, fishing lakes, walking and biking trails and group picnic area. Rent a pavilion or the party room, or have your picnic under the trees.
The park is open year-round, but the beach is open starting Memorial Day weekend.
The park was the site of 1996 Olympic competitions and part of the filming of "Hunger Games: Catching Fire."

Lake Spivey Road Race and BBQ Competition

The Lake Spivey Road Race offers a 5K or 15K course option through Lake Spivey, Georgia. Both races start and finish at Clayton County International Park. The 15K course winds through the residential neighborhoods surrounding Lake Spivey and Lake Jodeco in a clockwise loop. The 5K runners turn left (north) into the Lake Spivey Country Club and Foxfire subdivisions. All registered runners and walkers will receive a race shirt.
