The Alpharetta Arboretum at Cogburn Park is a living museum featuring seven trees and a rain barrel demonstration area. The collected rainwater is used to water trees and other plants at the park. The park also offers a large, open play area and a 0.2-mile walking path.

    All the magic of Christmas glistens at the annual lighting of the 45-foot-tall live spruce tree with 10,000 white lights. Starting at 5 p.m. on Dec. 5, 2015, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting with children all evening in the gazebo.
