Family fun on a budget. Celebrate National Emu Week! Free farm tours to see emus, ostrich, and rheas. Pet the baby goats, chicks and ducks. Meet Snoball, the steer and Snickers, the donkey. Visit the raised bed gardens to pick fresh lettuce, spinach and greens. Meet local crafters, play Horseshoes and Washers or just sit in the shade and soak up live bluegrass/jazz music while you munch on an emu burger. For a small fee, kids can ride the ponies, paint a gourd birdhouse, make an emu feather duster or decorate an emu egg. Lots to see and do in a beautiful rural setting just minutes off I-85 between Atlanta and Greenville.
