The Coastal Georgia Historical Society preserves and operates the St. Simons Island Lighthouse and museum, a victorian beachfront gazebo, the Maritime Center at the Historic Coast Guard Station on East Beach, and the A.W. Jones Heritage Center on St. Simons Island. The Society houses archives of coastal history, a research library, exhibits, event space, a museum shop and gallery.
