Romantic Valentine's Train Excursion - SAM Shortline

Celebrate an early Valentine's Day on this romantic train excursion across Lake Blackshear. Begin by browsing antique cars, then board the train to ride across the sparkling lake and past scenic pecan groves. End at the Lake Blackshear Resort for a wonderful meal.

PACKAGE A:

Arrive by 4:30 p.m. to allow time to browse the antique cars provided by The Cordele Cruisers Club. At 5:40 p.m., board the SAM Shortline Excursion Train, and by 6:00 p.m. you will ride across Lake Blackshear and through pecan groves into Sumter County. While on SAM Shortline, enjoy the scenery and the cash bar on board. In the commissary car, purchase other items such as nachos with cheese, popcorn or a souvenir of your trip.

You will arrive back at Georgia Veterans State Park at 6:45 p.m. in time to drive to Lake Blackshear Resort and Golf Club for a romantic meal. The supper will consist of a carving station of prime rib, vegetables, salads, bread, and desserts, and a choice of coffee, water or tea.
