Formally the Moultrie High School, the Arts Center is a creative cultural resource that makes quality visual and performing art available to a diverse population. The Arts Center provides engaging arts education for children and adults, acts as a steward of permanent collections, and maintains a landmark facility that enriches the whole community. The Arts Center offers classes in dance, music and art, and boasts the talents of local residents in theater productions throughout the year.

In one of the most significant shows of its 37-year history, the Colquitt County Arts Center will host from Jan. 15-Feb. 13, an exhibition of wooden vessels turned by the world-renowned Moulthrop family of Atlanta.
The Moulthrop lineage consists of the patriarch Edward (1916-2003), his son Phillip, and Matt, son of Phillip and grandson of Edward. Although each is noted as a world class woodturner, each features his own style and technique.

Kippy Hammond "Foreign Influences"

Kippy Hammon, renowned oils and pastels artist, has spent most of the past two decades living and creating art in France. This spring, she is bringing her beautiful art to the Colquitt County Arts Center. The newly renovated Vereen Gallery will play host to her collection from March 11 - May 6, 2016.
