The Marietta Confederate Cemetery was established in 1863 and contains the graves of more than 3,000 soldiers from every state in the Confederacy. It is the largest Confederate cemetery south of Richmond, Va., and the oldest Confederate cemetery in Georgia. The Commemoration weekend includes an encampment at Brown Park, living history tours of the cemetery and the unveiling of historic statues.
