Discover the joy of weaving an heirloom Gathering Basket at this Callaway Gardens workshop. Instruction will include basic basket weaving techniques and would be appropriate for beginner and intermediate basket weavers. Weave a sturdy basket on a 12-inch square hoop, the perfect size for taking to the local farmer's market or gathering vegetables or flowers from the garden. Use your creativity with natural materials to decorate and make it your own. Bring Mom to make one, or make one for her for Mother's Day.
All basketry materials will be supplied. Attendees should bring a flathead screwdriver, heavy shears and an old bath towel. Fee: $65.
