This two-day intermediate-level workshop begins in the classroom, covering topics such as challenges in macro photography, managing limited depth of field, focusing techniques, equipment and gear, using flash and artistic considerations. The morning session begins with an exclusive opportunity to shoot with tripods at the Day Butterfly Center for an hour before it opens to the public. A second photo shoot will follow focusing on shooting native species.
The workshop concludes in the classroom where participants are encouraged to select their top five shots of the weekend to share in a group critique. The instructor will select an image or two to use in a live demonstration of post-processing for print using Lightroom and/or PhotoShop.
The workshop is limited to no more than 20 participants. Fee: $115 includes Saturday lunch and digital handout.
