2nd Annual Heritage Days - Welshfest

Visit Rockmart on March 16, 2013, for the only Welsh festival in Georgia, featuring lively Celtic music and Welsh food. Bring the family to play Welsh Cricket, run a 5K on the Silver Comet Trail, and tour the historic Van Wert Church and graveyard where Welsh miners and Civil War soldiers are buried. Beekeepers will bring honey to be judged by Welsh rules by a certified Welsh honey judge.

Enjoy a full day of events on the square next to the old City Hall building at 133 Marble Street in the heart of downtown Rockmart. The festival celebrates the heritage of Welsh miners who came to Rockmart to mine slate and other minerals found nearby.
