When Union and Confederate troops moved during the Civil War, they often camped on the property of local civilians. Step back into the 1860s at the Vaughan Cabin to experience the sights, sounds and smells of such an encampment as volunteers demonstrate daily life of the soldiers and their hosts April 27-28, 2013, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Also take a guided tour at nearby Allatoona Pass to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of The Civil War's Great Locomotive Chase from 10 a.m. to noon both days. Both events are part of Bartow County's "Heart of the Chase" Civil War Sesquicentennial Commemoration.
