Rhythm, Rock & Roots at Chattahoochee Nature Center

We are making noise at the Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC), and we need you for the cacophony! When you make a great big sound, you'll forget about the cold. So, head down to CNC and make a sound that's bold!

A Winter Sounds Scavenger Hunt will be held all day long.

From 11 a.m. to noon, join Dave Holland for "The Art of Noise," a family fun discovery of how noise is created and how ordinary objects come together to create rhythm and music. It's an art, music and rhythm-making extravaganza where you are a part of the sound.

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., find your rhythm in the Nature Exchange as we try out instruments made from naturally found objects.

Rock and Read Story Time will be at 3 p.m. This story time has a beat. Tap and clap along with this fun rhythmic story told by one of our favorite storytellers.

After you make a rhythm, join Camp Kingfisher at the campfire. Drink some hot chocolate and roast that perfect golden brown marshmallow from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
