Foliage Fest 2013

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day at Foliage Fest 2013, a music festival and tree sale, on Saturday, March 16, 2013, in Jefferson, Ga. Free parking and entry. Bring friends and family, lawn chairs/blankets and purchase trees at the event so you can be green even if you're not Irish!

The event will feature handmade arts and crafts, on-site gardening and tree experts, and children's activities. Sample local food, including barbecue from Redds Que & Stew, funnel cakes and fried Oreos, burgers and hot dogs. Nurseries will have trees, shrubs and flowers for sale.

Enjoy live bluegrass music starting at 10 a.m. Performers include Mike Armstrong, Crystal River, Red Oak Southern Strings, 2012 Telluride winners BlueBilly Grit, Green Flag Irish Band, Center Stage and The Sun Room Gang comprised of Hall of Famers Sally Stites and Clyde Beck with Bill Long, Bo Edwards and Doug Hillard. The Drake School of Irish Dance also will perform.
