The Roswell Lavender Festival on June 8, 2013, is a full day of lectures, craft activities and exhibits about lavender on the 7 landscaped acres of Barrington Hall. Sample lavender-infused foods; shop for plants, herbs and other specialty garden items; and relax in "The Zen Zone," an area devoted to the healing properties of lavender, featuring crystal bowl therapy, raiki healing and aromatherapy. Musicians from Ragamuffin Music Hall will perform Americana, bluegrass and folk music throughout the day.
Lectures and craft activities, such as lavender wand making, lavender bath salts and presentations on cultivating lavender plantings, will take place in Barrington Hall's carriage house. Vendors will include local artisans, antiques, pottery demonstration and sales. Children's activities include crafts, historic games and a special visit from the Lavender Fairy.
