Historic Madison, renowned as one of Georgia's largest designated National Register of Historic Districts, will celebrate the 2014 spring season in grand style with the region's most popular tour event: Madison in May Spring Tour of Homes and Gardens, May 1-3, 2014, sponsored by the Madison-Morgan Cultural Center. Visitors will experience the living history of Madison while strolling through a collection of  the city's finest, architecturally significant private homes, including c.1830 Joshua Hill house, and intimate gardens that are rarely open to the public. Several historic churches also will be included on the tour. Together, the grand stuctures and gardens tell the astonishing story of a genteel, gracious city that was spared the torch and devastation of Sherman's 1864 March to the Sea.

Ours is a self-guided tour featuring homes within walking distance of the Cultural Center as well as some just a short drive away. Join us for this celebration of Southern history, architecture and art!
