Second Sunday Concerts are a signature community event in Macon's College Hill Corridor. Every second Sunday of the month, from April through October, expect a lively, diverse and family-friendly community picnic in Macon, featuring live music in beautiful Washington Park. The historic park is one of Macon's most photographed green spaces, featuring multiple waterworks (splash-friendly!), public art, a lush, terraced landscape and a natural amphitheatre.
The concerts are free to attend, and feature local and regional music acts. Previous acts include Shawn Mullins, Carrie Rodriguez, Yacht Rock Schooner, the Rocketboys, the Grapevine, Floco Torres, Jubee and the Morning After, and more. The event also hosts a cash bar on site, and food is available for purchase. Picnics, coolers, lawn chairs and pets are welcome.
