On behalf of Kennesaw State University's Civil War Center and the River Line Historic Area, Michael Shaffer will conduct tours of Shoupade Park on May 18-19, 2013, as part of the Cobb Coalition for Historic Preservation's Historic Sites Open House celebration. Shoupade Park is a passive historic Civil War battlefield park approximately 1 acre in size with two Shoupade forts separated by a two-gun artillery redan. Its natural topography offers a panoramic view of the city of Atlanta.
