Hotel Indigo Downtown (Opened in 2016)  https://www.ihg.com/hotelindigo/hotels/us/en/atlanta/atlid/hoteldetail

Famed architect John Portman’s soaring atria and cloud-grazing glass elevators grace skyscrapers around the world, but no city better embodies his postmodern aesthetic than his hometown of Atlanta. Portman shaped the city’s skyline throughout the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s, and today, the architect has reimagined one of his original designs — 230 Peachtree Center — to include the new Hotel Indigo Atlanta Downtown. From the curved, glass-and-steel staircase that greets you in the lobby to our sleek guest rooms, nods to Portman’s midcentury design merge seamlessly with the latest technology and amenities. Easy access to downtown’s biggest draws — including AmericasMart, another Portman work, accessible via skywalk — make our location perfect for business and leisure travelers alike. After a day on the town, settle in for a cocktail at our circular bar, where a floating glass-and-steel canopy mirrors our grand staircase, or enjoy dinner at JP Atlanta. Inside and out, you’ll feel Atlanta’s design history come to life.

Château Élan Winery & Resort (renovations and expansion)

Château Élan in Braselton Georgia has gone through quite a few updates over the past two years. Last year we added the 12,000 square foot Paris Ballroom.

In celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the Winery, Château Élan has just invested $2.5 million in renovating the 42,000 sq. ft. building. This two-year revitalization of the winery includes a complete facelift of the restaurant, tasting room, gift shop and the addition of a fifty seat dining veranda overlooking the vineyards, a 40 seat wine tasting terrace, an outdoor vineyard fire pit and a 3-acre Rose Vineyard. Taking advantage of the architecture of the original building, the new design will have an industrial chic feel with hints of vintage charm and rustic winery influences.   The entire enhancement is scheduled for completion the end of July 2016.

We are also building a 95 room Lodge scheduled to open this October.    It is located in the Vineyards at Château Élan and will be flagged a Hampton Inn and Suites.

The Elohee Center at Landsong is being created to provide a retreat space in Nature to allow for optimum self-exploration, individual grown, and mind/body healing. It is a place where Earth and Air, Fire and Water nurture wisdom both ancient and new. This endeavor has expanded to include extended family and an ever-widening circle of friends who have not only joined us in its creation, but have enjoyed the transforming, healing power of the land on which it sits.
Elohee ( EL-oh-HEE ) is a Cherokee word meaning “earth place.”

The Cloister, a Forbes Five-Star resort on the coast of Georgia, announces the completion of a $40 million expansion project at The Cloister that includes a new Garden Wing comprising 63 beautiful new guest rooms, as well as a 5,000-square-foot ballroom. These new additions debut as Sea Island celebrates the 10th anniversary of the opening of the completely rebuilt Cloister in April 2006.

Just south of The Cloister Chapel and across a landscaped garden from the existing South Wing, the new Garden Wing reflects the signature Addison Mizner Mediterranean design seen throughout Sea Island.  The new guestrooms average 560 square feet, each uniquely designed, featuring lustrous wood furnishings, exposed beam ceilings, overstuffed chairs, plank oak hardwood floors, Carrara marble bathrooms and showers, and handcrafted rugs. With the addition of the Garden Wing, The Cloister now offers 267 elegant accommodations, all showcasing the hotel’s natural setting and centrally located to the resort’s full spectrum of amenities and activities, including the Spa at Sea Island, The Beach Club, Sea Island Yacht Club and multiple, distinct dining venues.  The expansion project was built by renowned architecture firm Hart Howerton and J.E. Dunn Construction.

In November 2015, Sea Island unveiled the 5,000-square-foot Mizner Ballroom in The Cloister’s main building.  The multi-functional addition complements the existing ballroom at The Cloister, and brings added meeting space for private conferences, executive retreats, receptions, dinners and meetings.  With 51,000 total square feet of flexible, high-tech indoor and outdoor event space overlooking the Georgia coastline, the expansion further positions the resort as an unparalleled choice for business functions of distinction.
