Lake Allatoona Family Getaway

Open year round, Lake Allatoona is a great family weekend getaway. This 12,000 acre lake boasts more than 600 lakeside campsites, and also accommodates RV's. Plan to either bring a boat, or rent a houseboat, ski boat, or a pontoon boat during your stay. There are many hiking trails and picnic areas for families to explore. Also don't miss the Corps of Engineers visitors center at the top of the dam, which portrays regional history and natural resources in the area.
