Resaca
Resaca is a small town in northern Gordon County known for the Battle of Resaca that was fought during the Civil War. A battle reenactment is held each year the third weekend in May. It is also home to Georgia's First Confederate Cemetery, the burial place of over 450 confederate soldiers; Fort Wayne Civil War Historic Site; an Atlanta Campaign Marker; and Faith Baptist Camp, a Baptist campground that holds three camp meetings each year which is attended by hundreds of people across the United States.
