The Red Door Cottage

The Red Door Cottage is located in the quaint, historic district of Darien. It is a comfortable, pet-friendly two-bedroom, one-bath home built in 1906 and restored with all the modern 20th century conveniences. The home features high ceilings, hardwood floors, central heat and air, as well as ceiling fans in most of the rooms. The entire home is showcased with many original works of art, from local artists to the artist's own paintings, as well as paintings done by Cape Cod artists.

The cozy covered front porch with swing opens into the front living area with the original red door. The kitchen has a new electric range, refrigerator and dishwasher. It is equipped with dishes and utensils, a toaster oven, microwave and coffee pot. The "porch" room adjoining the kitchen is a great place to eat, containing a table for six, and two walls of large windows. Situated on a quiet corner with live oaks and plenty of Spanish moss, the Red Door is just three blocks from the Darien River Waterfront Park. Rent or bring your own kayaks.
