Celebrate 4th of July in Alpharetta
The Fourth of July is an exciting time to visit Alpharetta. Spend time with friends and family. Pack a picnic and be prepared to have a blast while listening to fabulous music. Kids will enjoy inflatables, face painting, balloon animals and fun in the children’s area, sponsored by Alpharetta Golden Age Club, with wristbands available for nominal fees. Food vendors located throughout the park serve festive fare, including barbecue, hot dogs, hamburgers, Mediterranean-style dishes, wood-fired pizza, tacos, grilled cheese, kettle corn, tapas, old fashioned lemonade, Italian ice, snow balls, ice cream and shaved ice delights! The spectacular fireworks display begins at dusk.
Old Soldiers Day Race and Parade, August
The Old Soldiers Day Parade began as a tribute to Civil War veterans and has become an annual celebration for veterans of all wars. The day kicks off with the 8K road race at Wills Park. Free hot dogs and soft drinks are available at the American Legion at 201 Wills Road at the end of the parade.
Touch A Truck Alpharetta, August
Every child’s imagination will soar as they explore the parking lot filled with trucks of all shapes and sizes including a fire truck, limo, dump truck, school bus, 18-wheeler and police vehicles! Kids can bounce around in inflatables, participate in all kinds of interactive games, watch animal balloons be made and get their face painted! Touch a Truck t-shirts and concessions are available for sale. Bring cash for food vendors. Parking and admission are free.
Mayor's Corporate Challenge 5K Run and Block Party, August
The Mayor’s Corporate Challenge, hosted by the Rotary Club of Alpharetta, LexisNexis and the City of Alpharetta, is an evening event that starts and finishes in front of City Hall in the heart of downtown Alpharetta. The race check-in begins at 5:00 p.m. along with food, libations and sponsor booths. The Kids Fun Run will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the 5K race beginning at 7:00 p.m. Join in the fun and experience Alpharetta’s walkable downtown and enjoy the very popular Food Truck Alley & Live Music sponsored by the City of Alpharetta.
European Market on Milton Avenue, Sept. 15-16

Scarecrow Harvest, Sept. 29
Alpharetta’s downtown streets will be lined with more than 100 scarecrows to celebrate fall spirit. Join in on the free family entertainment that includes groovy country music, games of crow-cornhole, hay rides, quirky face painting, historical demos, artsy activities, stimulating story-telling, yummy festival food and engaging inflatables.
Alpharetta Brew Moon Fest, Sept. 29
Gather your friends and celebrate fall with beer, wine and food from some of Alpharetta's best restaurants. Enjoy an evening filled with music and dancing in the streets during Brew Moon Fest. Cost: $10 entry fee. Table of eight is $130, table of six is $100.
Wire & Wood Alpharetta Songwriters Festival, Oct. 12-13
Music will flow through the streets as talented artists perform their own songs with soulful melodies, magnificent vocals and expressive lyrics while interacting with the audience. Listeners will learn the stories behind each song and may recognize some of the tunes that are played by their favorite musicians. Wire and Wood Alpharetta Songwriters Festival was selected as one of the Top 20 Events in October 2015 by the Southeast Tourism Society!
