As host of the country's second largest St. Patrick's Day parade, Savannah is quite a sight to see on the all-green-everything holiday. In addition to the parade and greening of Forsyth Park fountain, River Street is alive with festivities March 15-16, 2019, for the St. Patrick's Day Festival.
For more than 130 years, this springtime parade has marched through the streets of Atlanta bringing cheer to men, women and children. Before you go to this year’s parade on March 16, check out these tips.
No, not that Dublin! Our Dublin! Just past Macon on I-16, you’ll find the town ready to step up its game and bring a shamrock, green, and fun-filled St. Patrick's Festival. The weeks-long events include food festivals, leprechaun contests, arts, music and much more. Morning and evening events mark each year’s Irish Balloon Fest & Glow on March 8-9, 2019. In the mornings, watch as the hot air balloons launch into the sky to greet the rising sun. At night, watch the balloons glow with the sunset as their backdrop.
