?November Discovery Saturdays: Our Land’s History
Step into fall at Elachee this November with Discovery Saturdays celebrating the land, traditions, and wildlife of the Chicopee Woods! Families will enjoy hands-on crafts, guided hikes, and up-close encounters with animal ambassadors—all while learning about the cultures who once called this region home.
Highlights:
Craft Your Own Nature Loom – Learn how to weave together yarn and sticks into a beautiful piece of art.
Guided Hike with History – Explore the forest while learning about the tools and techniques once used by the Creek and Cherokee peoples.
Animal Encounters – Meet some of Elachee’s resident animal ambassadors and discover their amazing adaptations.
Dates: Saturdays in November 2025
Time: 10:00 AM–5:00 PM (drop in anytime)
Admission: $10 Non members/Members free
Come for the craft, stay for the adventure, and leave with a deeper appreciation for both nature and history.
