Welcome to The Florrest, a 153-acre private retreat center and special event venue surrounded by more than 35,000 acres of protected pine forest in Jones County, Georgia. We are 30 minutes from Macon and about 90 minutes from the Atlanta airport, so arriving is simple for both local and out-of-state guests. Nature and recreation

On the property, you will find miles of forest and meadow hiking trails, peaceful overlooks, abundant wildlife, spring wildflowers, and brilliant fall color. Terrain can be rugged for bikes inside the forest, so we guide cyclists to a nearby scenic 10-mile bike loop that offers a smoother ride. Seasonal adventures include birdwatching and kayaking. Third-party outfitters also offer guided trips on the nearby Ocmulgee River, which can be arranged during your stay.

Accommodations and amenities

Lodging includes cozy indoor spaces and our signature geodesic domes for a memorable stay that blends comfort with the magic of sleeping close to the land. You will find indoor and outdoor gathering areas, full kitchens, open lawns and forest clearings for yoga or team activities, and fire pits for evening connection.
