The traditional quilt block design selected for the Cherokee Center of the World (1755 Zion CME Church Rd) is "Indian Trails." The Cherokee Center of the World was a historic assembly gound where a number of local trading trails converged.
This "Moon Over the Mountain" quilt block is displayed at the historic KIdd-Vandiver House on Benson Street.
This "Schoolhouse" quilt block is displayed at the historic home of a retired educator on Benson Street in downtown Hartwell.
Historic Northview Cemetery in downtown Hartwell hosts a "cross and crown" quilt block.
Market 50, located in downtown Hartwell, is a specialty store that offers treats like bulk nuts and candy, james and jellies, spices, fresh deli meats and cheeses, fudge, and loclal foods.

The Hart County Quilt Trail promotes a variety of local historical, agri-tourism, and tourism-oriented treasures in our community in a unique way. The painted quilt blocks depicting traditional quilt patterns are beautiful, scenic public art to celebrate our history and heritage.
