In celebration of the pottery-making heritage of Crawford County, the annual Georgia JugFest and Old Knoxville Days offers a look back to a time when folks learned life skills necessary to provide comfort to their existence. This Middle Georgia festival features the best of those long ago skills that evolved into talents for creating works-of-art that are still sought after today. This is a family-friendly festival with something of interest for all and free parking.

On Saturday, May 18, energize the start of your day with our 7th annual 5K and 1-mile fun run at 7:30 a.m. Afterwards with a more leisurely pace, enjoy our wood fired kiln sale at the Knoxville Bottom (starts at 10 a.m.), or visit the various events in full swing. See various pottery displays, art & craft vendors, and a spectacular quilt show. View handcrafted items, and see traditional skills demonstrated in the old courthouse. Visit the vintage tractors and hear the hit and miss engines, or the impressive classic car & truck show. We will also have children’s activities, historic building tours, a pottery exhibit, student art show, live musical entertainment, BBQ plate along with other food, and a pottery auction. Visit for more information. All proceeds support the Crawford County Historical Society and the "Old Courthouse Restoration" Project.
