Watching a movie or television show is always a nice distraction, especially when you are keeping an eye out for Georgia locations. Luckily, Georgia is fairly common to spot in movies and TV shows these days.

Ozark

Season four of the thriller “Ozark,” starring Jason Bateman and Laura Linney, is available now. The dark and gritty drama – which has filmed throughout the state, including Lake Allatoona and Château Élan – quickly captured attention when it launched in 2018. Stranger Things,” which began streaming in summer 2019, is one of Netflix's most-watched original series ever. Since the first season in 2016, fans have been entranced by the show, which follows a gifted girl on the run from "bad men" and the group of friends who protect her. Set in fictional Hawkins, Indiana, the show films extensively in Georgia. Three seasons are available, and season four is set for release in summer 2022.

The Walking Dead

The first half of Season 11 of “The Walking Dead” is now available, and the second half is set to air in February 2022. The most-watched television series in basic cable history, based on the graphic novels by the same name, and has filmed exclusively in Georgia. It put locations in Atlanta and Senoia on the map for fans of the show.

Look for blockbusters in the Marvel universe on this family-friendly streaming service. Popular Georgia-filmed titles include “Avengers: Endgame,” “Black Panther,” “Captain America: Civil War,” “Ant-Man,” “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.” You’ll also find fan-favorite “Remember the Titans,” starring Denzel Washington, here.
