Skydog Music Festival

Skydog Music Festival is an annual benefit concert celebrating Duane Allman's life, birthday, and music. Each November, thousands of middle Georgians and beyond gather at Carolyn Crayton Park. Each attendee brings 10 or more goods, which the ministry of DePaul Daybreak distributes to the homeless. Local musicians (we have the best!) come together to play Duane Allman's music. The Allman Brothers played right where they stood, and they, too, supported their community.

The Depaul USA Daybreak Center provides services to individuals facing the immediate crisis of homelessness in Macon. It is a welcoming place where individuals can receive a hot meal, relax, wash up, do laundry, and speak with a social worker. Daybreak cannot operate without volunteers and donations from the community. That’s why the Skydog Music Festival asks each attendee for a collection of donation items in lieu of an admission fee. After the music is over, all items collected are given directly to the Daybreak Center to enrich the lives of people right here in Macon.

The festival is always held the Sunday before Thanksgiving from noon to 5 p.m. at Carolyn Crayton Park (formerly Central City Park) in Macon, Georgia. The donation items needed vary from year to year, but you can find an updated list on our website. You may drop your items off at the designated area when you arrive at the park. This is an outdoor venue with lawn seating. We encourage you to bring chairs, blankets, and coolers. Stop by the merch table to get t-shirts, posters, and more.

Numerous sponsors and a rock-star crew make this event possible. Join us for the next Skydog Music Festival, and be blessed by giving to those in great need. Then relax and bask in the music!
