Norwood GA 30821

Norwood United Methodist Church
On December 22, 1787, John Thomas organized Williams Creek Baptist Church in Norwood with only 37 members. In 1937, the church celebrated its 150th anniversary with an all-day event. In 1950, Rev. M.J. Bruce resigned as pastor after 49 years of service to the church due to illness. The church was relocated to its present-day location because the old location would flood often due to heavy rains.

Warren County contains 4 churches and 1 campground that are a part of The Historic Pews and Pulpits Trail in Georgia. In total, the trail has 35 churches that are 100 years old or older and all 35 churches are part of the Historic Rural Churches of Georgia database.
