The Atlanta Sci-fi Film Festival makes its highly anticipated grand return in 2023! Presented by the City of Peachtree Corners, this cinematic adventure will take place in CMX CinèBistro, setting the stage for an epic three-day journey of in-door theater and outdoor screenings and live performances, from October 6th to 8th in the heart of Peachtree Corners Town Center. The festival showcases an extraordinary array of visionary artists from diverse backgrounds. With a passion for pushing the boundaries of sci-fi storytelling, this event serves as a catalyst for creative collaboration and a celebration of the genre's remarkable allure. We’ll feature sci-fi films created by Georgia’s very own indie filmmakers and artists from all over the world! Categories include General Live Action, Animated Sci-fi, Afrofuturism, Indigenous films, and beyond.

Sit front and center as the festival unveils the finalists from its first 48-Hour Sci-Tech Film Challenge, where filmmakers, armed with just 48 hours, race against time to craft short films the weekend of Aug 25 to 27th. In a thrilling twist, artificial intelligence remains off-limits, unleashing the raw power of human ingenuity. Sponsored by OVHcloud - A Global Cloud Infrastructure Provider, this unique 48-hour film competition allows filmmakers to integrate current and new innovative technology as a required element into an original short sci-fi film and compete for $5,000 in cash and title of "Best 48 Hour Sci-Tech Film of the Year!

The festival also includes an advanced screening of National Geographic's highly anticipated documentary, The Space Race, offering a glimpse into the lives of trailblazing black astronauts who worked for NASA. Other highlights include panel discussions: The World of Movie Poster Design and A.I. - A Tool for Us, Not Instead Us!
