Join our community in saluting our soldiers and veterans for their contributions to our nation. The 14th annual Savannah River Spring Classic is a bass fishing tournament that raises funds for the Military Order of the Purple Heart Association - Chatham County Chapter. Anglers from all over the state of Georgia and South Carolina travel to Port Wentworth on the last Saturday in April to get on the Savannah River for a great cause. The
tournament is part of Port Wentworth’s larger celebration, Stand Up for
America Day, which includes live music, food, free children’s rides and
activities, fireworks and visits from military members.
